Congratulations to Lucas Cornett as he finishes out his senior year at Princeton High School. Lucas is such an integral part of his church family, and community. Over the past several years, I have grown to know Lucas personally through church, and two mission trips to Honduras. Serving alongside of Lucas both locally and overseas has allowed me to see his devoted heart, deep faith and earnest love for people. Lucas has a passion for ministering and leading worship. His love for The Lord is infused in every song he sings and every interaction he has with someone.
As, Lucas is preparing for his college journey he has a focused vision to follow in his fathers footsteps and pursue a career in ministry. For him, this is more than a profession it is a calling. Lucas has truly been blessed with two wonderful, Godly parents as role models as he moves forward to pursue the calling into ministry.
For Lucas’s senior session I wanted to do something that would truly emphasize his style, character, and aspirations. My goal was to highlight his unique spirit, passion, style and personality so that the images are not only captivating but also deeply meaningful. We chose to do his session in downtown Raleigh because he loves the city vibes, enjoys coffee shops, and exploring. I cannot get over how good these images turned out. He is so darn good looking and made my job as a photographer so easy.
Having any senior in front of my camera is always such a privilege. However, for me, this session was very bittersweet. I know it will not long before Lucas is headed off to Lee University to pursue a calling into ministry. Soon, our Sunday morning chats will turn into FaceTime calls. I know that Lucas is at the threshold of an exciting new chapter in his life. Like myself, his church family, and community we will always be here to encourage, pray, and support you. We are called to do life together. Through the wisdom of his parents, his strong convictions, personality, transformative faith, he will undoubtedly be successful wherever this next chapter of life takes him.
God has BIG plans for your future Lucas and I cannot wait to see how God uses you to influence those around you. Be you.
